Book Club

The St. Charles Presbyterian Book Club was formed in the summer of 2006. It meets the second Thursday of each month at 7 PM with the members hosting the event. The members, at our annual dinner in December, choose the books we read for the coming year. Anyone who wants can suggest a book to be reviewed by the group. Presently, there are fourteen women who attend as often as their schedule will allow.

This group is a great outreach tool to draw women to the church that might not want to or be able to attend the Sunday services. It allows a newcomer to get to know women in the church before attending. There is a sense of camaraderie and caring among the ladies. We love each other and look forward each month to the couple of hours we spend in sharing not only our thoughts about the book for the month, but also sharing ourselves. It is just plain ole fun being with our Christian sisters.

We do our best to read the book assigned for the month. However, there are times we simply cannot accomplish the task. Coming to the meeting is encouraged whether you have read the book or not. Your insights are always welcomed.

Please look in the bulletin each month to see when and where we are meeting.  Anyone is welcome to attend anytime to see if you would like to be a part of a wonderful group of Christian and fun ladies.
